How the view counter works
A small counter sits under every post in a Telegram channel, and unlike most platforms it is visible to everyone, not just the channel owner. That makes it the first number a visitor sees.
The counter measures views, not members. A channel with 10,000 members whose posts show 300 views tells a visitor immediately that the member list is not active. The relationship between the two numbers carries more meaning on Telegram than the member count alone.
